This screens each day with the 12 Day Officers (Jian Chu) — the most-used layer of Chinese date-selection — and flags days whose Earthly Branch clashes with the animal you choose. It is a genuine, computable first pass, but NOT the full Tong Shu almanac: a complete Ze Ri also weighs the 28 lunar mansions, the day's auspicious/inauspicious god-spirits, the month's own good/bad days, and your personal BaZi. Use the 'great' and 'good' days as a shortlist, not a final decision, and consult a practitioner for a truly important date.
